Answer
The cost to tape and mud drywall depends on the amount of board, number and type of joints, inside and outside corners, ceiling work, access, desired finish quality, protection, and whether the project involves new installation or a repair.
Taping and finishing normally require several stages rather than one application. Tape is embedded, joint compound is built out in additional coats, and each stage must dry before sanding or further finishing. Smooth walls and strong side lighting can require more careful feathering than textured surfaces. Small jobs may also be affected by minimum project charges because setup, travel, protection, and cleanup remain necessary. Texture, primer, and painting are separate unless included in the estimate. Westpeak can evaluate the surface and provide a defined drywall finishing scope instead of relying on a generic unit price.
